Lessons

Other services we offer, are casting and fly tying lessons.  You will find one of the best teachers in the valley when you come to Western Flies & Guides for lessons or with any questions. Jeff is patient, knowledgeable and most of all he is an “expert” at teaching people. 

Each fly fishing lesson goes for about two hours. During your lesson you will learn proper techniques, casting tricks and tips, and insight that will make your trips more enjoyable. We offer lessons for any experience level. Even if you are seasoned and have years of experience under your belt, we can assure you that you can learn something in one of our lessons.

Along with fishing lessons, we also offer lessons and help for tying flies. Maybe you’re looking for insight on fly tying techniques, or you want some help on tying that special fly for a special condition. You are sure to find the solutions for all your fly tying needs at Western Flies & Guides. We also have several tying stations available for you to use in the shop, and each station has all the tools that you may need to tie the perfect fly.
Whether you want to learn to throw tight accurate loops or tie that secret pattern your buddy showed you, we will be able to accomplish the task.
