Welcome to Western Flies and Guides. We are a full service fly shop and guide service, located in the small western town of Hamilton, MT. Our shop is literally just a few minutes from the Bitterroot River. If your looking for some of the best trout fishing in the west, you are in the right place. We have HUNDREDS of trout filled miles we call home with in easy driving distance from the shop.
We offer professionally guided fly fishing trips through Rausch’s Top Water Angler (Outfitter #9408) on the Bitterroot, Clarks Fork and Missouri Rivers. Our prey of choice is wild rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. Our guides are patient, knowledgeable and hard working – They will put you on fish and we guarantee it!
Our fly shop is fully stocked with some of the largest names in the industry. A prerequisite to work in the shop is that you must fish on your days off or after work. We want you to get information from people that were out there yesterday, not sometime last month. Our staff has the knowledge and expertise needed to help you have a successful day on the river. They will hold nothing back when it comes to giving you the information about when and where you need to go!
